MAN FOUND GUILTY IN TAXICAB HOLDUP MAN INDICTED ON FELONY DWI CHARGE RAVENA MAN KILLED IN HEAD-ON CRASH ROTTERDAM TO BEGIN FLUSHING OUT MAINS.(Local)

An Albany County jury convicted a 28-year-old Albany man this week of first-degree robbery in the Dec. 17 holdup of a taxicab driver.

The jury found Wednesday that Gary Hemingway of 136 Hamilton St. threatened the Albany cabbie with a knife. Sentencing is scheduled for May 6 before Judge Joseph Harris.

In other County Court matters this week:

*Percy Lee McCall, 51, of 722 Clinton Ave., Albany, was sentenced by Judge John G. Turner Jr. to one year in the Albany County Jail for his guilty plea to third-degree criminal possession of a weapon. McCall admitted that on Jan. 16 he possessed a loaded .25- caliber pistol on the Thruway in Bethlehem.
